Welcome to the unofficial fansite of Andy Roddick!

A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Andy Roddick was born on August 30th, 1982. His father Jerry and mother Blanche had already spawned a highly athletic family: Andy's brother John was an All-American tennis player at the University of Georgia, and oldest sibling Lawrence excelled in springboard diving.

The most promising talent in men's tennis, Andy Roddick stands as the king of the court thanks to a blistering serve, natural athleticism and infectious charisma. At only 21, he has become the new face of tennis and looks to make a dent in several all-time records in the years to come.

Andy Roddick is the hunky and cocky tennis pro whose junior titles and media-friendly charisma made him a celebrity when he was still a teenager. Roddick grew up in Texas and Louisiana and began playing tennis professionally in 2000. He won 6 world junior singles titles and 7 doubles titles, and by 2003 he had won the U.S. Open and was rated the world's top player.

Even as a 19-year-old rookie, Roddick impressed everyone with his energetic play and incredible shot-making abilities. He brought a charisma to the court that drew comparisons to John McEnroe, though Roddick had a cooler head.

Andy Roddick's rise to the top of tennis is the result of several years of continual progression. As a junior, he was No. 1 in the U.S. in 1999, and then rose from the sixth spot to the first in the world rankings during the 2000 season. Among the ATP players, he was the youngest in the Top 200, at 18 years old, and then showed flashes of brilliance after winning the junior Australian and U.S. Open that same year.

Consistency was the key in 2001, as Roddick, still a teenager, won ATP titles in Atlanta, Houston and Washington, and finished in the Top 20. His hot hand continued the following year, winning International Series events in Memphis and again in Houston before bowing out in the quarters of the U.S. Open, his best showing at a Grand Slam yet. Roddick's pizzazz was captured in GQ and People magazine as he became a heartthrob as well.

The life of a young superstar is quite enviable. Besides raking in over $1 million US in winnings, Roddick gets the financial support of sponsors and can really live it up. The ladies swoon over him, and he is now courting the achingly hot Mandy Moore.

Though Andy had no major wins to show for his 2004 campaign, he had played well enough and won enough events to earn the #2 world ranking, with Hewitt right behind him. Andy has the total package for tennis stardom. He is big and strong, moves around the court well, and uses his head to stay calm when the pressure is on. Andy’s serve is the most feared in tennis.

If, as most everyone suggests, Andy is the future of American tennis, it would seem to be in capable hands. Not only does he have the game to be a dominant player, but he enjoys the spotlight, and there's no doubt the spotlight is drawn to him.
